PROJECTS
HIGHLIGHTS
We delivered a secure and reliable connectivity solution linking substations with the Network Operations Center (NOC).
Using IEC 60870-5-104, real-time operational data is transmitted efficiently and securely, enabling seamless grid monitoring and control.
This integration represents a key highlight of the customer’s on-premises High-Light SCADA system, providing full visibility into substation measurements and supporting efficient, stable power grid operations.

01
No real-time substation
measurements available
Key operational values such as current, voltage, power, frequency, and energy were not continuously accessible from multiple substations. This limited situational awareness and slowed response to grid events.
02
Missing encryption and certificate-based authentication
Where connectivity existed, communications were either unencrypted or relied on weak authentication methods—creating unacceptable cyber risk and non-compliance with internal security requirements.

03
Complex integration into existing OT systems
The client required seamless integration into their SCADA environment and front-end servers, without disrupting existing operational workflows or control system availability.
04
Solution Delivered
We implemented a secure, encrypted connectivity IEC60870-5-104 layer between substations and the control center using mutual certificate authentication to ensure only trusted devices and systems could connect.

05
Outcome
-
Real-time visibility into substation measurements enabled faster operational decisions and improved grid efficiency.

-
Cybersecurity posture strengthened through encrypted communication and certificate-based authentication.

-
Operational continuity maintained thanks to non-invasive integration into existing SCADA and front-end systems.

-
High availability connectivity achieved through redundant communication paths (fiber + mobile).
